ZoneTrade ("we", "us", "our") operates zonetrade.org, an AI-powered trading assistant platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our service.

Account information: When you sign up, we collect your name and email address via Google OAuth or email/password authentication.

Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details — Stripe handles all payment data under their own privacy policy.

Usage data: We collect information about how you use the platform, including features accessed, trading journal entries, and AI chat history, to improve our service.

Affiliate data: If you apply to our affiliate program, we collect your name, address, and tax identification number (encrypted at rest) for commission tracking and tax reporting (1099).

3. How We Use Your Information

To provide and improve the ZoneTrade service
To process payments and manage your subscription
To send transactional emails (receipts, trial reminders, payment failures)
To comply with legal obligations including tax reporting
To detect and prevent fraud or abuse

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

Stripe — payment processing
Clerk / Google — authentication
Resend — transactional email delivery
Legal authorities — when required by law

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel, we retain data for 30 days before permanent deletion, except where longer retention is required by law (e.g., financial records for tax purposes).

6. Security

We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Sensitive data such as tax identification numbers are encrypted with AES-256. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing us at support@zonetrade.org. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies

We use session cookies for authentication. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a notice on the platform. Continued use of ZoneTrade after changes constitutes acceptance.
